StarTropics Stamp.

This I felt like doing some time ago. As you can guess, it's a stamp for StarTropics. However, I'm pretty certain plenty of you out there in DA land are scratching your heads in confusion, wondering to yourself "StarTropics? What's that?". Well to that I say "Where have you been? Sit down, it's time for a history lesson."

StarTropics is a video game released in 1990 for Nintendo's first game console released here in North America, the NES. It's a game like Legend of Zelda (which is appropo, since StarTropics is one of Nintendo's franchises), but the story is far from that. The story is that this kid named Mike goes with his archeologost uncle (called Dr. J) to a place called C-Island. Upon arrival, Steve discovers that his uncle has gone missing, & Steve decides to go find him.

Believe me, the game may start out like that, but as you go further in, it can get quite intriguing. As for gameplay, as I said, it's like Legend of Zelda. However, instead of a sword, Mike wields a yo-yo. That's right, a yo-yo. Might not seem like much of a weapon, but trust me, it can get pretty cool.

Now, I never actually sat down & played StarTropics, so for any of you wondering how I even know of this game, I learned of the game from this kind of AVGN rip-off called Happy Video Game Nerd.
