I had to shorten the title to that
This is something I felt like doing just a few days ago. I made this because I want to let people know that just because new technology has come out, doesn't mean you should go out & automatically throw out your old tech & buy the new stuff.
I mean, I still have a lot of older tech. I have 3 older-gen gaming consoles (an SNES, an N64, & a Dreamcast), a whole SHELF full of videotapes (one of the TVs in my house even has a VCR), & all the TVs in my house are those big black box TVs. I mean, sure, I have new computers & game consoles, but I see no reason to get rid of my older tech whatsoever.
So yeah, if any of you are contemplating getting rid of a perfectly-good still-working black box tv or CD walkmen in favour of one of those new flat-screen TVs or iPod's just because they're newer than any of your other tech, don't. Obsolete isn't the same as useless. It just means it's not top-of-the-line anymore. Obsolete stuff can still be useful after all.

I still have the Mega Drive that is over Twenty Years Old. It also has a story behind it as my parents used to have neighbours that had one. We still play on it, from time to time when we are in the mood to kill Zombies. (Yes, one of the games was called Zombies, and basically, you have to rescue people from not just zombies, but lumberjacks, werewolves, mummies, aliens, fifty-foot monsters...)
