Description

Yep, yet another stamp, this stamp for a TV show I watched when it was on Teletoon's late-night block, The Detour. The show was called Moral Orel.

Moral Orel was a stop-motion animated show about this kid Orel Puppington, an 11-12 year-old kid who lived in the town of Moralton, a town in the middle of the fictional US State of Statesota, which was right in the middle of the US. The show was best described as Davey & Goliath meets South Park, as the show was a satirical look on Christianity (though I read it's more of a satire of old 50s-60s sitcoms). The entire population of Moralton was very anti-gay, demonized all non-Christian faiths, even (for some odd reason) Catholicism, considered any & all rational scientific explanations as to the origins of humanity (the big bang, evolution, etc.) heretical & colossally stupid, & distanced themselves from nature as much as they could. To add to that, the citizens of Moralton weren't exactly the best role models for the kids in the town. The librarian would picket anything she found offensive (which was pretty much EVERYTHING), the doctor would hide behind his religion whenever somebody died on his watch, & the school principle would frequently cheat on his wife with the school nurse.

The show's most basic formula was that Orel would listen to the Reverand's sermon at the beginning of each episode with sheer enthusiasm, then he would interpret it in a very literal fashion, & usually do something to correspond with his understanding of that sermon, which would either help the town greatly, or cause chaos. Near the end of the episode he would get caught by his dad, who would take him to his study to spank him with his belt, then they would talk about why Orel was doing what he was doing, then Orel's father would explain it to him in a manner that would usually focus on the lesser of 2 evils. Once they were done, the father would suggest they go eat dinner, & the father would stand up, & his pants would fall down because he forgets to put his belt back on.:XD:

Anyway, I couldn't help but notice that nobody has made a stamp of this show. So I felt like doing just that. I got the stamp from here -> [link] , & the stamp template is courtesy of :iconkabrotti:. Hope ya like it.:D

Where I live thats the way it is even through online...

I literally watched the episode where orel was expected to sacrifice his dog...Remember hating it, looking on it now I honestly can feel a relief they finally can see the truth for what it is...A society that would put religion above its children and lovers and life.

Its not good.
